Study
Study here is something you do with other people, not alone against a syllabus: reading, talking and thinking together. We take the idea from Fred Moten and Stefano Harney. A plan and a method keep you moving.

More than lessons
Community
Learning European Portuguese brings you into a linguistic community: the people who speak it, and the places and conversations they share. Your tutor is your way in.
Exchange
Language is a two-way conversation. You share your own stories and goals, and your tutor shares theirs.
Culture
Food, traditions, music and daily life are the material, so you learn what people really say in Portugal.
Cultural sustainability
Languages carry cultures. Our lessons include culture and history in all their aspects, so you learn European Portuguese in a way that respects the people and traditions it comes from.
Travel
Cultural sustainability extends to travel. We prepare you to visit with respect for the history and traditions of the place, and to contribute socially and economically to the people who live there: learning local customs and etiquette, buying from local businesses and listening to local people.
